About Us

Seventy-three reviews averaging 4.5 stars tell a consistent story: families come to New York Elks Lodge on Hempstead Avenue for one of the most important days of their lives and leave genuinely glad they chose it. That's not an accident. The lodge's event hall has hosted first birthdays and baptisms on the same weekend, wedding receptions that guests still talk about, and everything from milestone anniversaries to community fundraisers.

The food draws real praise. Reviewers use words like "amazing" without prompting, and the pricing is honest rather than padded with hidden charges. The booking process is straightforward: reach out, get a response quickly by email or text, confirm the details, and show up ready to celebrate. For families juggling caterers, florists, and family RSVPs, that responsiveness matters more than any decorative flourish.

The lodge sits in Lynbrook, NY, a tight-knit Nassau County community where neighbors still show up for each other. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has been part of that fabric for generations, and the lodge's hall reflects it. Brick-and-mortar history, a room that can hold a crowd, and a staff that knows how a well-run event is supposed to feel.

What We Offer

The main event hall is the centerpiece, large enough for a full wedding reception and intimate enough that a baptism luncheon doesn't feel swallowed by empty space. Couples have used it for wedding receptions complete with catering, and parents have booked it for first birthday parties and baptism celebrations on the same weekend without a hitch.

Catering is available and consistently praised in guest reviews for both quality and value. The lodge handles coordination from first inquiry through the final hour of your event, with communication via email and text so nothing slips through. Pricing is transparent and competitive for the Nassau County market, making it a genuine alternative to hotel ballrooms that charge twice as much for a similar headcount.

Beyond private events, the lodge supports its surrounding community through Elks charitable programs and member activities year-round. If you're exploring membership or looking to connect with the fraternal side of the organization, the lodge welcomes inquiries alongside its event bookings.

"had my son’s 1st birthday and baptism here last weekend. What a great experience. From my first contact until we left the night of the party it was wonderful. Emails and texts were responded to promptly and professionally. Veronica anticipated my needs and provided excellent service. The staff during the party were delightful and very helpful. The food was as delicious! I couldn’t have been happier and highly recommend the Elks Lodge in Lynbrook."

"I had my wedding here, it was a beautiful event the staff was lovely my only problem was the woman who we had to deal with to rent the hall Veronica. She doesn't know how to speak to people I found she comes across very rude and was micromanaging my wedding while it was going on. Had someone else been there I would rate 5 stars but her attitude and ways of things is the only thing that cast a cloud over anything."

"First off, the staff is amazing! Very professional women, always helpful and carrying a smile. The food was delicious, they're brisket and shrimp rice was on point as well as the carrots and string beans. The place was in great condition, had great lighting whether on the dance floor or near the back tables. Finally, the tables were beautifully decorated with center pieces for our event. They definitely have our services for the future!"

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
